San Francisco - 2005 Porsche 911 Turbo S Coupe - 78k Miles, 6-speed Manual

The ultimate 996 grand tourer. This 2005 911 Turbo S cranked up power to 444 horsepower over the standard Turbo's 415, and standard Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes (PCCB) handled stopping from its 190 mph top speed.

Best of all, however, is its engine construction. Like the standard Turbo, the 996 Turbo S used a 3.6-liter flat-six designed by the famous Hans Mezger, who is arguably the most influential engineer in Porsche's history. That means that this car suffers from none of the notorious IMS bearing issues that plagued the 996 because it simply doesn't have the bearing.

Aside from its insane performance, this Turbo S also receives some tasteful factory aero options, including oversized B-pillar air scoops and a subtle rear spoiler. Yellow brake calipers indicate carbon-ceramic rotors, and Turbo-twist wheels complete the aggressive look.

With 78k miles, this car was used for its intended purpose, but you'd want to verify the condition of suspension bushings and clutch components with an inspection. I'd also recommend an overrev scan in case this car spent any time on the track.

Advertised at $53k, which would be in the ballpark if the car has strong ownership history and documentation. See photos here:
