San Francisco - 1983 Porsche 944 - Guards Red, 101k Miles

A time-capsule back to the early '80s - this '83 944 has just 101k miles and full documentation back to the original purchase, including the factory invoice.

Its striking Guards Red paint looks absolutely flawless, and the OEM forged alloys provide a striking contrast. Under the hood looks very tidy, and an upgraded stainless-steel exhaust should add to the fun factor.

The interior is such an interesting design - I love the three-spoke steering wheel straight out of the 911SC, and the triple-gauge arrangement on the center console is straight out of a sci-fi movie.

These cars have issues with their timing chains, timing chain tensioners, pinion gears, and water pumps, so get as many service records as you can to see how the car was maintained.

And at $12.5k, I can't think of a cheaper way to get into a head-turner that has performance to boot. Check out this car's originality in the photos below.
