Los Angeles - Freshened 1974 Porsche 914 2.0L - 144k Miles, New Paint

The 914 was essentially Porsche's take on a go-kart, and it attracts a huge enthusiast following because of it. This 1974 model includes the less-desirable rubber bumpers, but makes up for it because of its strong 2.0-liter four-cylinder, which was installed only on later cars.

A California car from new, this car received a recent respray in Phoenix Red along with new rubber seals, a replacement interior, and new wheels and tires. The car wasn't originally Phoenix Red, but the job looks to be well-done.

Rust is the biggest concern on these 914s. Because it has been a lifelong CA car, the chances of significant corrosion are low on this one, but you'd still want to verify the structural integrity of the body.

In addition, lots of these cars saw engine swaps, so you'd want to make sure that the engine number matches the chassis number for originality's sake.
