Los Angeles - 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S - 28k Miles, PDK

A great-value 991 Carrera S that would make an ideal entry to the brand. The 991 generation is incredibly well-executed and composed, and its chassis is absolutely world-class. Dynamically, it's better in every way than the 997, delivering Rolls-Royce levels of ride comfort and intoxicating acceleration from its 400-horsepower 3.8-liter flat-six.

This particular car is well-optioned, featuring Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and PASM to maximize cornering fun. It doesn't have the Sport Chrono package, meaning you don't get a Sport Plus driving mode, but it should still be plenty of fun to toss around a back-road.

Importantly, this car has the Sport Design steering wheel, which means that you control the 7-speed PDK from satisfying aluminum paddle shifters instead of awkward buttons mounted on the steering wheel.

My only complaint about the 991 is its steering - its electromechanical steering rack certainly helps fuel economy, but it feels artificial and overboosted. I much prefer the heavy, responsive hydraulic steering rack from the 997, so be aware of that if you're looking for one of these.
