Boston - 1987 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera RS Backdate - Bali Blue, Records

Another beautiful backdate! This one is based on a desirable 1987 3.2 Carrera with the famous G50 transmission, and it's also built to look like a '73 2.7 RS.

At first glance, the build looks really high-quality - Bali blue paint was never available for the RS, but it looks phenomenal on this example, especially striking against the tinted windows and chromed Fuchs alloys. The bodywork quality is top-notch, as are the side and rear Carrera logos.

The interior looks factory-fresh, so it probably was refinished at the time of the backdate, which the owner claims cost $48k. There's also no mention of mileage, which isn't an issue if the seller can produce records for regular oil changes and valve adjustments.

My favorite parts of this car are the tucked sideview mirrors. They're so subtle and well-executed, and I think Steve McQueen would approve.

Advertised at $59k, which is fair value, provided that all of the work is documented from a top-notch shop. If I were looking for a vintage 911, I'd have this one in a heartbeat.
