San Diego - 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera G50 Targa - 66,000 miles, Strong Compression

A beautiful example of the classic 3.2 Carrera 911 - these cars are beloved for their vintage 911 styling and super-robust 3.2-liter inline-six engines. As a 1987 model, too, this particular example received Porsche's fantastic G50 5-speed manual transmission. Its buttery throws and reliable build quality make it a favorite amongst Porsche enthusiasts.

It's not clear whether the car has extensive service records, which is important for gauging the engine's future health. However, the seller does claim that compression is strong and that a 60k-mile maintenance was performed recently. Regardless, you'd want an expert opinion on engine health and remaining life on brakes, shocks, sway bars, and tie rods.

From the photos, it appears that the driver's seat leather is very worn, and the rear seats have seen better days. I'd estimate that you'll need $1000-2000 to bring the interior back to factory-spec.

The car appears to be rust-free in all of the common rust zones (front trunk, underneath the rear bumpers, underneath the gas cap), but you'd want to verify with a thorough undercarriage inspection.

If all checks out, this 3.2 Carrera would make a phenomenal weekend driver at $42.4k. Check out more photos below.
